Mayor's Message October 22nd

Tenafly News Update from the Mayor

TENAFLY, NEW JERSEY

October 22, 2021

Hello.  This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

Since last week, there have been three new reported coronavirus cases in Tenafly.

Tonight at 7 pm, the Tenafly Varsity Football team plays Bergen Tech at Geissinger Field.  Tenafly Recreation and the Varsity football and cheer programs will be honoring our Junior Tigers tonight.  Youth Football players and Cheerleaders are welcome to attend the game, and will have sideline access for the 1st half.

Come out and support the Tigers Junior Football teams home games tomorrow night on Municipal Field. Kick off at 6 pm Saturday with the Pee Wees, followed by the Juniors and Seniors.

The Public Works Department would like to remind us not to place sticks and branches in leaf piles. Please tie and bundle the branches and leave out for Waste Management to pick up on garbage day. If we like, we can also bring the bundles to the Recycling Center.

The Korean Community Center is hosting a new art exhibit, which I had the pleasure to visit this week. Please visit the KCC website for more details at www.kccus.org

Tenafly Seniors, please remember that the Senior Bus is available to Tenafly residents for doctor appointments, shopping and Election Day.

This is the last chance to purchase tickets for Tenafly Nature Center's Haunted Forest which will take place Sunday, October 24. Learn about the animals that live and haunt our local woods.  Please visit tenaflynaturecenter.org to learn more about this fun seasonal event.

The Tenafly Library Friends are having their Fall Membership Get-Together outside the Library this Sunday at 1:00 PM. Join the Friends or renew your membership while enjoying desserts, drinks and good company.

A reminder to all residents that early voting begins tomorrow, Saturday, October 23. Please visit the News Flash section on the Tenafly website for full details and information.

Finally, please remember there is no overnight street parking in Tenafly from 2 AM to 6 AM

Thank you and please enjoy your weekend.
