Our Mission Statement and Core Values

The mission of the Tenafly Police Department is to provide professional, quality police service to the Borough of Tenafly.  We have been entrusted with the responsibility to maintain order, protect life and property and to improve the quality of life for all Tenafly residents, members of the community, and visitors.  Our objective is to maintain a safe and secure environment for all by interacting with the community, emphasizing the control and prevention of crime, promoting safe travel within the community by enforcing motor vehicle laws, and providing fair, impartial, efficient service to the public.  To demonstrate our commitment to our profession and to the public, the members of the Tenafly Police Department subscribe to the following values:
