The Borough of Tenafly specifies guidelines for noise related to landscaping and construction.  The following are general guidelines.

Landscaping Hours

Professional Landscaping Services

Professional landing scaping services are permitted on the following schedule:

Week Day Permitted Hours
Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm
Saturday 9am - 6pm

Owner or Occupant Landscaping

Landscaping that is performed by the property occupant or owner is permitted on the following schedule:

Week Day Permitted Hours
Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm
Saturdays 9am - 8pm
Sundays  10am - 5pm 

Construction Hours

The Borough of Tenafly regulates the hours during which construction is permitted.  Borough regulations, in general, prohibit construction work on most weekends and on all legal holidays, except in emergency situations.
