NOTICE is hereby given that Sealed Bids will be received by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Tenafly, in the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, for REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF POLICE VEHICLES FOR 2019-2021.

Bid forms and Specifications for this Proposal are available at the Office of the Administrator, at the Municipal Center, 100 Riveredge Road, Tenafly NJ between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, except weekends and holidays. No Bid Forms and Specifications will be available after 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, this period being reserved in order to prepare data for receiving bids.

Bids must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Forms provided and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the bidder and marked “BID FOR REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF POLICE VEHICLES FOR 2019-2021" and addressed to Lissette Aportela, Borough Administrator - Borough Clerk, Borough of Tenafly, 100 Riveredge Road, Tenafly, NJ 07670. To be considered, the Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or bona fide Bid Bond made payable to the Borough of Tenafly, NJ in the minimum amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid.

BIDS ARE TO BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN 11:00 A.M. PREVAILING TIME ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2018 AT WHICH TIME THEY WILL BE OPENED AND READ ALOUD AT A MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL TO BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN BOROUGH HALL IN THE MUNICIPAL CENTER, 100 RIVEREDGE ROAD, TENAFLY, NJ.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c.127, as amended and supplemented from time to time) and N.J.A.C. 17:27. In addition, bidders are notified that they must pay the prevailing wage rate as determined by the "New Jersey Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963", extension effective July 1974. Also required, in compliance with P.L. 2004, c.57, is proof of business registration as evidenced by a copy of a Business Registration Certificate issued by the N.J. Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue.

The character and amount of bid security to be furnished by the bidder is stated in the "Instruction to Bidders" contained in the bid specifications. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty days after the scheduled time for receipt of the bids.

The Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids for any cause whatsoever. The award or rejection of bids will occur within sixty (60) days of receipt of bids, at which time all bid guarantees will be returned in compliance with Local Public Contracts Law.

Notice of Intent to Award Contract under a National Cooperative Purchasing Agreement- (Ambulances, EMS and other Special Service Vehicles)

The Borough of Tenafly intends to participate in the (Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC)) contract to purchase a Rosenbauer Commander, 4-Dr Full-Tilt, Aluminum Pumper with an Exterior Aluminum Body, Single Axel, Pumper Fire Truck from Rosenbuaer Minnesota, LLC, P.O. Box 549, Wyoming, MN 55092 for the Tenafly Fire Department.

Information regarding the contract may be found at the Tenafly Fire Department located at 100 Riveredge Road during regular business hours 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, as well as on the (Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC)) website at: (www.hgacbuy.org).  The contract number is FS12-17.

The Borough of Tenafly is a member of the (Houston Galveston Area Council Co-op).

It is the intent of the Borough of Tenafly to make a contract award to Rosenbauer Minnesota LLC pursuant to the proposal submitted in response to the (Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC)) (Competitive Request for Bid).

The Borough of Tenafly is permitted to join national cooperative purchasing agreements under the authority of N.J.S.A. 52:34-6.2(b)(3).
