Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act, ” all persons newly hired by the Borough on or after September 1, 2011, shall have 1 year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. Exemptions may be granted on the basis of critical need or hardship.

ELECTRIC INSPECTOR 

The Borough of Tenafly of seeks a qualified Electric Inspector. Duties include; field inspections and reviewing plans for new and existing buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code and enforces same to ensure public safety, health, and welfare, does related work as required. Position requires excellent time management, communication, customer relations and organizational skills. This is a part-time position 15  hours per week as needed, hours flexible, but must be between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm M-F.  Applicant must possess a current and valid Electric Inspectors license as issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, H.H.S. license, Electric Subcode and multiple inspectors/subcode licenses preferred and a valid and current New Jersey driver’s license.   Salary is DOE/DOQ.  Interested applicants must submit a resume and letter of intent along with a brief description of their qualifications for this position. PART - TIME VIOLATIONS CLERK 

The Borough of Tenafly is accepting applications for a Part-Time Violations Clerk to work in the Tenafly Municipal Court.  Duties include collecting and recording fees for violations; working in the courtroom; interacting with court personnel, defendants, witnesses, police officers and attorneys. PART - TIME SENIOR SERVICE PROGRAM COORDINATOR 

The Borough of Tenafly seeks a part-time Senior Service Program Coordinator in its Senior Services Center Department. The Senior Service Coordinator performs field and related office work involving the operation of a service program for less active older adults. The Coordinator will serve as the point person for the Borough residents. Interested candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school in social work or related field; having a Master’s degree in social work or a Master's degree in a human service field including but not limited to sociology, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology, State certified by the Board of Social Work Examiners as CSW or LSW. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an agency or private practice operating programs relating to elderly people in the fields of social work, public health, social welfare, psychology, or a related field. Note: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in any of the previously stated fields of study may be substituted for one year of experience. Position requires demonstrated experience in care management processes. PART-TIME RECREATION AIDE

Borough of Tenafly, Department of Recreation is seeking a part-time Recreation Aide (12:30pm-4:30pm) to assists in the organization, promotion, coordination of all recreation programs, activities, youth and adult sports, special events and leisure services. Requires 1 year minimum of experience in Recreation, or community based programming, or camps experience. DPW DRIVER/LABORER 

The Borough of Tenafly is seeking a driver/laborer to work within the Department of Public Works. Responsibilities include but are not limited to manual labor, recycling, road maintenance, sewers, buildings and grounds, vehicle maintenance, grass cutting and snow plowing. Applicants should be prepared to perform duties in all weather conditions and work mandatory overtime. This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.  Applicants must possess a Class “B” CDL (Class “A” preferred). Hours are from 7:00am – 3:00pm, 35 hours per week.
