Basketball Courts

Municipal Courts are located on Tenafly Road across from the Tenafly Post Office. Courts are lighted from dusk to 10:00 p.m. with the exception of December, January, and February when the lights are off.

Municipal Field-100 Riveredge Road

Located behind the Tenafly Library. Used for softball, soccer, and football. Field use by permit only. Permit may be obtained at Recreation Office.

McCandless Room-100 Riveredge Road

Located in the Municipal Center, it is used primarily by Borough organizations. Use of Room permits must be obtained from the Recreation Office. Non-residents and outside organizations must receive approval from the Recreation Board.

Skate Park

The skate park is located at the Roosevelt Common across from the Municipal Center. The park is open from 3:00 pm to dark on school days, 10:00 am - dark on Saturdays and non-school days and 12:00 pm - dark on Sundays.

The skate park is a skate at your own risk facility designed for skateboarding and inline skating only. Bicycles and scooters are not allowed. The skate park will not be supervised. All skaters must wear helmets, elbow pads, kneepads, and wrist guards, and skaters must comply with the Skate Park Rules & Regulations posted at the skate park.

All users of the skate park are required to register and obtain a photo identification badge from the Tenafly Recreation Department located in Borough Hall. A completed Skate Park Registration Form must be submitted to the Recreation Department with a completed and signed Skate Park Participant Release of Liability Form in order to obtain an identification badge.

The Borough was awarded a matching grant in the amount of $39,750 from the Bergen County Open Space Trust to purchase and install the skate park obstacles and equipment at two of the old tennis courts at the Roosevelt Common.

The skate park will be closed when equipment or surface areas are wet and/or icy, and during rain, snow or severe weather conditions.

Sledding

Sledding is permitted at the hill located at the top of Foster down to the Municipal Center, weather permitting

Sunnyside Park

Located between Oak Avenue and Ivy Lane. Used for baseball, softball, and soccer. Walking path and newly renovated playground. Field use by permit only. Permit can be obtained at Recreation Office.

Tennis Courts

There are a total of seven (7) tennis courts. The courts are located at Roosevelt Common (three are lighted). Memberships and badges are required for use of Municipal Tennis Courts.  Memberships can be purchased online on Community Pass.  Courts are lighted from dusk to 10:00 p.m. with the exception of December, January, and February when the lights are off. 

Tennis Memberships and I.D. Badges

Tenafly Recreation is now issuing I.D. badges to Tenafly/Alpine Residents only with membership registration. Family $100, Adults (18+) $50, Junior $25.00, Senior $25.00. Guest Badges $10.00 per guest/per visit.

Tiger Turf Cage

Located at the corner of Riveredge Road and Tenafly Road.  Multi-use sports and play turf area. 

Walking/Jogging (10 Sunset Lane)

Tenafly Board of Education track is located at the Tenafly Middle School.
