Mayors Wellness Campaign

On July 1, 2012, Tenafly pledged their participation in the Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC).  Mayor Peter Rustin joined over 350 Mayors who are playing a leadership role in supporting local opportunities for active, healthy lifestyles.

The MWC is an initiative of the New Jersey Healthcare Quality Institute.  Since 2006, the MWC has sought to develop and implement active living programs through local leaders and in doing so, to reduce health care costs and foster active living and healthy lifestyles for New Jersey citizens.

MWC Committee

The Tenafly MWC committee is in its formative stage and welcomes participation from members of the community. 

In March of 2014, Tenafly received the designation of a "New Jersey Healthy Town", only the 17th town in the entire state to be so designated.
